This was painted during the storms after Christmas in early 2025. I listen to the music of Erland Cooper whilst painting - the title 'The Salt One' comes from his work.
This painting is part of a series inspired by a beautiful couple who live on the seafront at Brighton, have been together for over 40 years and walk down to the sea hand in hand in their swim robes - her's is red. At home they have run a warm bath, ready for when they get back.
